Hey there dolls friends! Welcome back. In today’s video I’m going to show you how to curl yarn wefts and make adorable wig I did for my Cupid custom. If you haven’t seen that video yet I’ll put a link here somewhere so you can check it out. Now let’s begin. The things you’ll need will be your wefts, of course, if you want to know how I make them I have a separate video on that, your flat iron and something to roll your wefts with, like in this case, a wooden pencil. First, cut your wefts into smaller pieces like so, then roll it around your pencil and this could be anything. You can use a wooden paintbrush, a wooden dowel, anything that wouldn’t melt under a flat iron would do. Also, use a masking tape to keep the weft in place. Then sandwich your pencil between your flat iron and roll making sure you’re applying heat on all sides. Remove your weft, and there’s your little curl. And I know this is going to take a lot of time and effort for one wig but, once you get the hang of it you’ll get to work faster. Plus the results are always worth it. Now let’s make the wig! First we make a wig cap. Cover your dolls head with cling wrap and secure a cloth over with an elastic, and brush on three to four coats of white glue. Once dry trim off the excess and then put it back on your doll. I’m basically making a side part wig so, I’m drawing a diagonal line from the center toward the right corner for for the part. I usually start gluing wefts on the part area but, as you can see here I started with the bottom because I was excited to see how long my wig is going to get. And then here I just added more guide lines so I know i’m gluing on a straight line, and this is optional, you always have a choice of just winging it. After gluing the final layer of wefts just flip it over and tug on the top to spread it. It’s going to be a bit wild after you finish gluing so you can cover it with cling wrap, but not too tight for a while and its just a matter of styling and tugging on some curls until you’re satisfied with the look. And there you have it. I hope you found this tutorial useful and I’d love to see what you make so tag me on Instagram with the hashtag #MOZEKYTOLOOK so I can see. Thank you so much for watching and don’t forget to give this video a thumbs up and subscribe. See you on the next one. Bye!
